How to schedule events in Google Calendar

You can easily schedule events your Google Calendar but you can also schedule other EOU staff & students in meetings if they have their calendar shared. Please refer to the “How to share your Google Calendar” article on how to allow others access to your calendar by showing the times your free or busy.


STEP 1:

On your computer, open Google Calendar and log in with your Mountie Pass credentials.


STEP 2:

Select a date and time on your calendar by clicking it in your calendar view and a pop-up window will appear for you to add information about your event.


STEP 3:

If you wish to invite others to your event, click on the [Edit event] button on the pop-up window.


STEP 4:

You can search for open times if the EOU staff & students you want to meet with have shared their calendar as described in the “How to share your Google Calendar” article. Simply click the “Find a time” option.


STEP 5:

Add the name of the people you would like to schedule to see if they are available or not. Please note that their schedule will not display unless they have followed the steps as described in the “How to share your Google Calendar” article.


STEP 6:

Click the red [SAVE] button at the top of the screen to save your event. A prompt will appear asking if you want to send your meeting attendants a notice about this event. Select yes.
