Mountie Pass - Password Reset

If you forget your Mountie Pass password, you can reset your it by sending a password reset link to your personal (non-EOU) email address that is associated with your EOU account. Be sure to keep your personal email address up to date.

If you have 2-Factor Authentication configured on your account you can reset your password using a code from your Authenticator app. If this applies to you, please skip ahead in this KB article to the section: Reset Password with Authenticator Code


Reset Password with Email Reset Link

Follow the instructions below to send a password reset link to your personal (non-EOU) email. The link will be used to reset your EOU password.

Step 1
Go to my.eou.edu

Step 2
Click Forgot Password

Step 3
Enter your EOU email address into the Mountie Pass Email field and click Continue

Step 4
You will receive a confirmation the password reset link was sent. A hint for the email address that the reset link was sent to will be provided. This is useful if you don’t remember what personal email address you have on file with EOU.

Step 5
Head over to your email account that the reset link was sent to. Click the link in the email to reset your password.

Step 6
Clicking the link in your email opens a page where you can submit a new password. Your password must meet all of the listed requirements. You will see a green check mark next to each criteria as you meet it. Check out our Password Requirements for additional information.


Step 7
Once your password meets all of the requirements click Submit. You will be redirected back to the my.eou.edu where you can now login with your updated Mountie Pass credentials.



Reset Password with Authenticator Code

Follow the instructions below to reset your password using an Authenticator code. This only applies if you have 2-Factor Authentication configured on your account.

Step 1
Go to my.eou.edu

Step 2
Click Forgot Password

Step 3
Enter your EOU email address into the Mountie Pass Email field and click Continue

Step 4
Enter a valid Authenticator code from your app and click Continue.

Step 5
Submitting a valid Authenticator code opens a page where you can submit a new password. Your password must meet all of the listed requirements. You will see a green check mark next to each criteria as you meet it. Check out our Password Requirements for additional information.


Step 6
Once your password meets all of the requirements click Submit. You will be redirected back to the my.eou.edu where you can now login with your updated Mountie Pass credentials.



Account Locked?

If your account is locked after too many failed login attempts, you have the following options:

  1. Wait 15 minutes for your account to unlock and then follow the step-by-step guide to recover your account. Please note, if you select to recover your password using the “email” feature, your password reset link will be delivered to your personal email address that is on file.

  2. Contact the EOU IT Help Desk by emailing us at helpdesk@eou.edu or calling (541) 962-3111 from 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday - Friday excluding holidays.



What is my Mountie Pass Username?

  • Your username is your EOU email address.
  • For example, Monty Mountaineer would be mmountaineer@eou.edu
  • You can find your EOU email address and your EOU ID number on the acceptance email that you received after applying to EOU. This email was sent to the personal email address you used to apply to EOU.
