Printer Errors

If your office printer is not printing, and is not providing any error messages, try restarting the printer.

If you continue to have trouble printing or are receiving an error message, please contact the Help Desk with the following information, as applicable:

  • Printer error message
  • If the printer is located in your office and connected to your computer by USB, please provide us with the printer model (USB printers are generally identified on your computer by their model)
  • If the printer is a network printer, please provide us with the name of the printer (PR-ACK-101-1)
  • Is your computer able to print to any other printers?

This information will help us to better identify whether there is an issue with your computer or the printer, as well as assist us with troubleshooting the error message.

If there is physical damage or wear on the printer that has made it nonfunctional, it may require us to refer the problem to an outside vendor to review and repair. Note that we will inform you if this will incur a service charge and require budget approval before we proceed with contacting the vendor.
