What is Zoom?

Zoom is a web conferencing service. It is similar to Skype or Google Hangouts, except that the users do not all need to have an account to participate. Only the person hosting the session needs to have an account.

Zoom is browser-based and very easy to use, and the video and audio quality are excellent. People may connect from desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones, and other devices.

We use Zoom for various online meetings and classes, and it is available for Staff and Faculty to use.
