How to add a quick event in Astra

NOTES:

The website does timeout. If left alone for a few minutes, you will have to log back in.


STEP 1:

Navigate to astra.eou.edu.


STEP 2:

Login using your Mountie Pass


STEP 3:

Click Calendars and then Scheduling Grids on your toolbar

STEP 4:

Scheduling Grids displays scheduled items by date, room, and time. Choose Calendar allows you to refine the view from the whole campus to a specific building. Click on the date to change or select a specific date.

STEP 5:

Find the desired venue. In this case it is ACK 115 Drag and Drop to select a specific time frame. Below 9:00am to 11:00 am is selected.


STEP 6:

Add a Quick Event box will pop up. Type in all the fields. Event Type is a drop menu as is Event Meeting Type. You may select Meeting as event type if nothing else seems appropriate. The date and time may be changed here. Customer will be the appropriate department. Customer Contact will be the appropriate person in the department. Click Save.

STEP 7:

You will now see the reservation in the Scheduling Grids. Hover over the reservation to display the details.


STEP 8:

You can now goto Calendars -> Scheduling Grid and see the event.
